The Trust had also recently platformed a former beneficiary, a local vocalist and composer Florence Hope. Florence Hope was a guest singer with one of Plymouth’s leading big bands the Carlton Big Band (led by Elaine Keith-Hill) at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Plymouth.

Separately, Florence Hope was also the guest vocalist at the Saltash Town Council’s (Councillor Julia Peggs) Mayor Making ceremony and sang during a short break and then led the guests and Corporation in Harry Glasson’s popular Cornish folk song ‘Cornwall My Home.’
